Morten Østerlund Larsen

Bio

Morten Østerlund Larsen (*1995) is a double bassist from Kolding, Denmark. He currently lives in Aalborg, Denmark where he is currently studying composition at the Royal Conservatory of Music. In the summer of 2023, he completed his bachelorstudies at the renowned Jazz Institute Berlin, under prominent teachers such as Greg Cohen, Marc Muellbauer, Chris Dahlgren, and Phil Donkin. During his studies, Morten received the DAAD Prize for international students at the Berlin University of the Arts. Through various projects, he has had the opportunity to perform concerts in Scandinavia, Germany, Spain, Canada, USA, Poland, and Slovenia. He has shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Thomas Fryland (DK), John Schröder (GER), Glenn Patscha (CAN), Karen Eng (CAN), Henrik Walsdorf (GER), and Mikkel Ploug (DK).
